Ryan Curran: "We met our target"

Finn Harps striker Ryan Curran stated after his goal earned his side a 1-0 win over Bohemians that the squad met their target of staying in the Premier Division and that he was delighted to have achieved his personal accolade of being Joint top goalscorer for the club along with Sean Houston.

"It was a target of my own," said Curran. "I wanted to be top goalscorer. I wanted to score goals. I came here to score goals.

"Seven now for the season, probably could have had a few more, but just happy we stayed up, so beggars can't be choosers," he said with a smile on his face.

Commenting on his goal in Friday night’s match he said, "It was a good finish, probably my best one of the season actually, not the most important, I've had more important goals.”

The Striker mentioned to extratime.ie that on the club’s survival day he was in Belfast working during Wexford Youths' game against Cork City.

"I'm working in Belfast at the minute and the boys were all training and I was just checking the score.

"I couldn't believe it, one, two, three, four nil, it was a great feeling, he said joyfully. We sort of knew that after the Wexford game we put ourselves in a good position and obviously Cork went and done us a favour then so happy days."

On a final note he added that Ollie Horgan was going to sit down with everybody due to a high number of players including himself being out of contract.
