EA Sports Cup - Live at 3
For those who can't make it, we will be providing live updates from both the 3pm kick-offs today. At Terryland Park, Galway United take on Derry City, while in Dublin St Patrick's Athletic face Shamrock Rovers. Eoin Manning and myself will be in place to bring you to the heart of this afternoon's action, however frenzied or uneventful it may be.
Later in the day we will keep you up to date with the other 2nd round ties, which include a repeat of last year's semi-final between Cork City and Wexford Youths, a Northwest Derby between Sligo Rovers and Finn Harps, while Shelbourne pay a visit to Dalymount Park to face Bohemians and will be hoping the Gypsies haven't decided to sand the pitch a la Ballybofey.
10:15pm .....FULL TIME!!

10:04pm .....Into the second half now and Cassidy has a chance for Shels but his shot was too tame to trouble Gregg.
9:51pm .....Madden played in by Bohs Sean Byrne with Matt Gregg away from his goal. Madden took a touch towards goal and from three yards out...hit the post. Incredible.
9:45pm .....First chance Shels. Hynes turns and volleys from outside the box. Gregg tips it just over.
9:39pm ......Into Extratime for the third time today... Shels had two late corners but obviously nothing came of them.
9:33pm ......Carey fouled just outside the box again. Free put in behind by a Shels shirt but goal kick given. Injury time. Three minutes added.
9:24pm GOAL!......Sean Byrne and Graham Carey link up well on the left, Carey tricks inside but Robbie Hedderman comes across to win the ball. Bohs Free, edge of box centre. McMillan creamed Graham Carey. Carey steps up and GOAL!! on 82 minutes.

9:16pm......PENALTY SHELS!!

9:06pm GOAL......Shels!! Madden free header, like McGuinnesses.

8:47pm Anto Flood was injured just before the break and has been replaced by Hynes. The second half has begun.
8:35pm Half-time update from Gordon Hunt at the game: "Cassidy and Doherty are both on yellow cards with Doherty having gone in hard three or four times since. The game itself, well Shels are winning everything. They are the better side, but the goals have been soft and the last goal was a simple tap in from two yards. Shels shouldn't be behind." Well let's hope for Shels fans sake they don't mirror Sligo's early game like they did in the First half.
We will be back in a few moments with the second half.
8:30pm GOAL Bohemians have done what Sligo did earlier. Turned around a 1-0 deficit, after the away team scored on 3 minutes, to go in two one up. Carey corner was headed into goal by McGuinness two yards out. Half time now too.
8:22pm Our comments below have indicated one star represents 10+ league titles. Five minutes to the break now in Dalymount.
8:19pm Our reporter Gordon Hunt's initial scorer was Mark O'Brien and he was convinced until other reporters and the PA said Cassidy, and we are getting messages to suggest it was O'Brien, so we are officially changing our scorer back to O'Brien.
8:13pm Comment below on the stars above crests, I always thought it was to do with the number of League wins or some such, but Wexford have five, which suggests that is just a design element? Unless it's there from the Underage team wins? Anyone know what it signifies?
8:10pm The goalscorer debate continues. The fans and Gordon say O'Brien, the press box seems to say Cassidy. I am sitting on the fence until later.
8:08pm Madden is looking lively against his parent club. Whelan has recovered well from the spill. Done well against dixon after Carey played him in. The Assist on the goal was actually Carey.
8:04pm Our update service is now running 5 hours, and many cups of tea later. If you have suggestions, comments etc about the site, be sure and email us or drop a comment. If you see lineups that may be incorrect or if we have missed anything, please email and tell us.

7:55pm GOAL Conan Byrne doubles Fingal's tally and game over. Two nil. The final goal came in the 92nd minute.
7:53pm Sligo Rovers game is over, as Gordon in Dalymount tell me he has been overruled. Corner won after Madden broke in on goal. Corner came in and Cassidy took a touch and blasted it in.
7:51pm Three minutes gone and O'Brien gets the goal. There is some question as to whether it was Cassidy though. I will confirm once I get it.

6:53pm......... The kettle is on and the seventh cup of tea is brewing, as we recap on what is happening in the EA Sports Cup Monday Special.
Pats were undone a goal to nil by Shamrock Rovers in the one of three early games. Galway also beat Derry City 1-0, as Waterford almost faltered but eventually winning 2-1 in extratime against Carlow. Cork City almost crashed out a few minutes ago but for a 88th minute Behan goal, which means extratime (sorry Alan!!).
In the two other games underway, it's half time. Sligo have come back from a goal behind after 3 minutes (Marc Brolly) to go in 2-1 up thanks to a Boco double. Drogs are 0-0 with Sporting in United Park. And now, time for more action in Turner's Cross....
6:52pm......... Emmet Maloney in Drogheda tells me Philip Byrne never took the pitch. He was injured in warmup and replaced by McArdle. Fabien Connolly is on the bench instead.
6:48pm.........Well what's worse than a poor game. A poor game that goes into Extratime. Our reporter Alan Smith remains suffering in Turner's Cross for another 30 minutes. At least.

6:45pm........Dan Murray heads JUST wide from a Murphy corner. Can Wexford hold on....
6:42pm GOAL........Sligo have completed turned it around. On 40 minutes, they have taken the lead. Details to follow.

6:34pm........Cork are starting to get on top, and Wexford have moved to a 4-5-1 combination as I dip into my 6th cup of tea this afternoon. Partnered with a Flake, a winning combo!!
6:33pm........ Boco is the scorer of the Sligo goal from close range after 30 minutes!!
6:29pm GOAL........Bartley Ramsey emailed in to inform us Marc Brolly was the Harps scorer after three minutes. Thanks Mr. Ramsey. We have also been informed Sligo have equalised!! Details to follow on that!!!
6:26pm........Still 0-0 in Drogheda, and 1-0 in Sligo. In response to the comment below, our reporter, Alan Smith, thinks Cork City are a mixture of uninterested and underestimating the Wexford side. This is a strong Cork side remember. Meanwhile Duggan is stretchered off in a leg brace and O'Connor is on.
6:18pm........Did I just call the 70 Wexford fans odd? My apologises. I am onto my 5th cup of tea for the afternoon. Faz is off for Cork and on comes Tim Kiely. The Official attendance in Cork is 654 people.
6:18pm........ The Wexford 70 or so fans are making all the noise now. Cork are pressing but they are still poor.

6:04pmGOAL!! ........Well Finn Harps have made no hesitation, and are a goal up in the opening minutes against Sligo Rovers. Details to follow.
6:00pm........ Game on in Drogheda and Sligo. To answer some questions below: Wexford Youths started well but have since faded a bit as Cork have come a bit more into it. The Cork side have made three changes, one due to injury and one of the others is a keeper change, so it's strong enough.
5:56pm........ On the later shift tonight, Gordon Hunt will be in Dalymount updating Extratime Central with all the goings on between Bohs and Shels. We will have the teams as soon as they are issued for that game.
5:52pm........ The half time whistle is gone in Cork. Our reporter's comments: "poor game, i'd put the small amount of money i have on a draw". Well Alan, a draw would mean of course, another 30 minutes of extratime and then penalties as all games must be decided today.
