Horgan: Cowan Injury Overshadowed Good Result
Finn Harps Manager Ollie Horgan admitted after their 1-1 draw with St Patrick’s Athletic, that his side lost a key man when Keith Cowan suffered a horrible injury early in the second half and it overshadowed their efforts that saw them gain a late point in added time at Finn Park on Tuesday night.
"Yeah, certainly, Keith was probably our most consistent player for the last, even through the difficult spell t-hrough the summer,” Horgan admitted.
“He was probably our most consistent player and he has suffered a serious knee injury there."
The Manager added that the defender is currently in hospital and that the time frame for injury at first look isn’t certain but he will miss the rest of the season.
"I think it could be a lot longer than that but in fairness to the lads, whether it was Keith going off injured, that they got something.
"I don’t know where they got it in the last 15 minutes, they pulled energy and a small bit of quality, a decent bit of quality in the last 20 minutes to put them back against a serious side.
"At least we got a point but in the end a serious cause to pay for it."
