Prediction Challenger - Liam Hegarty
The correct answer to our earlier question was Limerick and Dundalk. First to provide the correct answer was, unsurprisingly, a Derry City fan. More surprising to us was that it was a former vice-chairman of the club, Liam Hegarty, who provided the correct answer.
Liam has been a Candystripe fanatic since the late 60s when the club were still in the Irish League and has since put a lot of work into helping with the day-to-day running of the club. He has enjoyed many great League and Cup wins over the years, and has great memories of European adventures against the likes of Benfica in 1989 and more recently against Gothenburg and Paris St.Germain. Liam's favourite players that he has seen over the years include the likes of Liam Coyle, Felix Healy, Paddy McCourt, Niall McGinn, Alan Sunderland, Denis Tueart, Owen De Gama, Mick Neville, Paul Doolin and Peter Hutton.
Liam has, of course, gone for a Derry win at Drogheda to get their title aspirations back on track. Alan Smith is the next extratime reporter to try his luck, and has also gone for a Derry win.
