FAI Cup Semi-Finals Draw Made
The draw has been made for the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup Semi-Finals, bringing two exciting ties on the final step towards the Aviva Stadium.
Taking place live on RTE Radio One’s Morning Ireland show this morning, the draw revealed that holders Dundalk will face a home tie against Derry City while Cork City will have to travel to Inchicore to play St. Patrick’s Athletic.
Derry City have won the Cup five times but face a daunting task after beating Wexford Youths, Bohemians and Drogheda United on the way to Oriel Park while Dundalk have dispatched Shelbourne, Crumlin United and UCD to reach this stage.
St. Pats will be delighted to have secured home advantage following victorious ties against Pike Rovers, Limerick and Cobh Ramblers but will facing an in-form Cork team who have beaten St. Peters, Athlone Town and Shamrock Rovers on their way to Richmond Park.
Both ties will take place on Sunday October 2nd and will be screened live on RTE television.
