First Division Statistics
GOALSCORERS
Waterford's Graham Cummins continued his superb form with his seventh goal in three games against Limerick on Friday, converting the Suirsider's first penalty of the season.
Eamon Zayed and Willie John Kiely kept in touch by adding to their goal tallies, something Ciaran Kilduff has now failed to do since his 13th minute spot-kick against Finn Harps on the 27th of March.
The "goals for fun" division now has an average goals per game of 2.65. 127 goals have been scored by 62 different players.
APPEARANCES
Following the eighth round of matches, only 18 players are left who have played every minute of every game for their club. As in the Premier where Cork City have the highest number of players, another Munster club dominates the First Division list, with Waterford United having six ever-presents among the 16 players they have used so far. They are listed below:
Kenny Browne (Waterford United)
Mick Devine
Alan Carey
Graham Cummins
Kevin Murray
Seamus Long
Tommy Barrett (Limerick FC)
David Ryan
Paul Walsh
Eric Browne (Mervue United)
Alan Byrne (Monaghan United)
Paul Whelan
Brian Cleary (Athlone Town)
Conor Gethins (Finn Harps)
Mark Mukendi
Packie Holden (Wexford Youths)
Colin Osbourne (Kildare County)
Ray Kenny (Longford Town)
Conor Gethins will not feature on this list after this weekend after picking up a two game ban for a sending-off in the preliminary round of the EA Sports Cup.
Kildare County are obviously struggling to find a settled side and have now used 27 players in their games so far.
REFEREES
Phil Caschera will take charge of his seventh First Division game at Morton Stadium tomorrow night, his second time in charge of a Sporting Fingal game. So far he has overseen five home wins and one away victory, and has only given one penalty as well as not showing a red card to date.
There have been 12 sending-offs so far, and Gerry Kelly has dispensed five of them in his three games.
16 different referees have been used in the eight rounds.
ANYONE FOR A DRAW?
With 47 games played so far, there have only been 7 draws(15%).
Three of these occurred in Round 1, which then makes it 4 in 41 - less than 10%. Take way the two that occurred in Round 3 and you get down to 2 draws in the last 30 games - less than 7%.
Three teams haven't played out a draw yet (Shelbourne, UCD, and Wexford Youths). Finn Harps are the draw specialists with three, all achieved with late goals after they had been behind.
