Supple signs for Bohemians

Bohemians have confirmed the signing of former Ipswich Town and Republic of Ireland U21 goalkeeper Shane Supple, who has signed a contract until the end of the season.
Bohs, currently eighth in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division, have brought in the 29-year-old as cover for the vastly experienced Dean Delany and reserve keeper Lee Steacy.
Supple recently helped Crumlin United to lift the FAI Intermediate Cup as well as keeping a clean sheet in their shock Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup second round victory over Finn Harps last month.
He previously won an FA Youth Cup and made 38 first-team appearances for English Championship side Ipswich Town before announcing his shock retirement from football back in 2009.
That was following short loan stints with Falkirk and Oldham Athletic which prompted the then 22-year-old to hang up his gloves having, in his own words, "fallen out of love with the game."
He went on to forge a career in Gaelic games and was a member of the Dublin panel that won the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship in 2013.
Supple made his return to the soccer field last Autumn, six years after retiring, when he linked up with Crumlin United of the Leinster Senior League.
