Hodgson names Rashford in England Euro squad
England manager Roy Hodgson has announced the England squad that he will be bringing to France in a couple of weeks’ time.
The big surprise of the squad was the inclusion of young Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford. Rashford only made his first senior Manchester United appearance in February this year and for some fans his inclusion is a risk. Also making the squad, is Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge who has missed the last 2 England games with a calf strain. Both Newcastle United's Andros Townsend and Leicister City's Danny Drinkwater miss out on the squad.
The squad in full is:
Goalkeepers: Fraser Forster (Southampton), Joe Hart (Manchester City), Tom Heaton (Burnley).
Defenders: Ryan Bertrand (Southampton), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Nathaniel Clyne (Liverpool), Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur), Chris Smalling (Manchester United), John Stones (Everton), Kyle Walker (Tottenham Hotspur).
Midfielders: Dele Alli (Tottenham Hotspur), Ross Barkley (Everton), Eric Dier (Tottenham Hotspur), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Adam Lallana (Liverpool), James Milner (Liverpool), Raheem Sterling (Manchester City), Jack Wilshere (Arsenal).
