Purcell back at Belfield

First Division pace setters UCD have confirmed that Timmy Purcell, who was released the end of last season, has re-signed for The Students, according to the club's official website.

Purcell was hopeful of getting a deal with a Premier Division club in the off-season, but following trial spells with a number of clubs, Galway United amongst others, he failed to secure a deal to his satisfaction and has now returned to join up with Martin Russell's young guns.

Purcell was top scorer for UCD last season with three goals.
