League Preview: Longford Town -v- Bray Wanderers
LONGFORD TOWN
Longford welcome Bray to the City Calling Stadium on Saturday looking to open a gap between themselves and the league’s basement club.
When the fixtures came out there is no doubt Longford will have seen this fixture as one to target for three points against a direct relegation rival. With both teams having had a lackluster start to the 2016 they will both be hoping to bring home all three points on Saturday night.
A 6-0 drubbing at the hands of Cork City in their last outing and another 1-0 loss at home to Pats, against two of the league’s ‘Big Four’, have followed Longford’s opening day victory down in Wexford.
BRAY WANDERERS
The Seagulls soared into the 2016 season on a wave of positivity although that is now rapidly disappearing with the Wicklow sides’ horrendous start. Another thrashing at the hands of Derry on Monday night sees Bray rock bottom of the Airticity Premier Division.
Mick Cooke must be wondering what he has to do get a good start to a Premier Division season. His latest outfit are also shipping lots of goals and they will hope to put a stop to that tomorrow at the City Calling Stadium.
This has developed into an early 6 pointer for Bray who will be hoping that they can win to stay in touch with everybody else even at this early stage. Their dreadful goal difference is already worth a point to everybody else.

MATCH STATS
Bray have already conceded 10 goals this season, scoring only one in return. Longford aren’t much better at the back having given away 7 themselves with only two in reply.
This goal only produced 4 goals in three games last season but judging by current form maybe we will see more fireworks tomorrow.
Dean Kelly and Mark Salmon turned out for Longford last season while Daniel O’Reilly and Peter McGlynn have travelled in the opposite direction.
