Fenlon calls for immediate response

Bohemians manager Pat Fenlon has called for his side to bounce back immediately from Friday night's home defeat against Cork City. The League and FAI Cup champions went down to a solitary second half strike from Davin O'Neill for what was their first defeat of the season.
When the Gyspies lost a home game early in the campaign last season, they reacted by going on a seven month unbeaten run in the league. They don't have too long to wait to get their season back on track either with a tricky trip west to face an in-form Galway United next up on Tuesday night.
Speaking after the defeat against Cork, Fenlon has called for an instant response from his players. He said: "I don't think last season has anything to do with it. We've just got to focus on this season. The good thing is that we've got a game very quickly. If the lads had a week to wait they might have had time to feel sorry for themselves, but they don't have time for that as we we're back in action on Tuesday."
He added: "They [Galway United] have had a fantastic start to the season. They've obviously got a draw at the Brandywell on Friday night which is a fantastic result for them. But even last season it was difficult going to Galway and Tuesday will be like that. But I think every week is going to be like that this season. We've got three games in a week so we'll look to change it around again. I've said it before that we've got eight or nine players who can play every week and not really weaken the team."
Bohs were hugely disappointing against Cork, with the Leesiders' defence coping comfortably with everything that the home side threw at them. Even after falling behind, the Dubliners struggled to create anything of note. However, when quizzed on whether the better team had won on the night, Fenlon was magnanimous. "No i don't think so. Cork got plenty of people behind the ball and made it hard for us. I don't think the better side won at all," he said.
