Cabinteely begin to build 2016 squad

Cabinteely have made another addition to their first team squad following the recent announcement of Sean Burke, Karl Byrne, Lloyd Cairns and Edward McDonagh all signing on the dotted line.

Last years’ Player of the Year, and club captain, Victor Ekanem has also re-signed for the 2016 despite picking up a serious injury versus Bohemian FC, rupturing his achilles.

He was a fans’ favourite for Cabo last season picking up many Man of the Match awards during his 27 appearances prior to getting voted Player of the Year by the south Dublin faithful.

He told www.loi.cabinteely,com, “I was really looking forward to this season, especially captaining the club through it. I am aiming to hopefully be back for the last 3 to 4 months of the season. I am though looking forward to watching and supporting the lads and being a part of the club again this year.”

With Cabinteely looking to consolidate after a good first season in the League of Ireland, they will no doubt hope he has a speedy recovery following recent surgery.
