Sligo Rovers launch new 2016 jerseys
Sligo Rovers yesterday launched their new kits for the 2016 season at the Clarion hotel in Sligo. The kits are made by Spanish firm Joma and are once again sponsored by the Connolly Motor Group.
In a change from the last few seasons Rovers will be playing with three kits. The club have reverted back to the all red home jersey, getting rid of the striped jerseys they have had over the past few years. They will be sporting a white away jersey and a navy blue third jersey.
Speaking about the partnership between Joma and Sligo Rovers, a Joma representative said; "Joma Sport are delighted to welcome Sligo Rovers to its ever growing list of sponsored teams and the first Joma directly sponsored team in Ireland. The agreement signed in January 2016 means that Joma will be the technical sportwear and footwear provider to the League of Ireland Premier side for the next 3 seasons.
The new Sligo Rovers jerseys are designed with DRY MX. This is a unique fabric technology that keep the body dry and comfortable by drawing sweat away from the skin thus reducing cling from perspiration whilst still the allowing air to circulate. This allows the body to stay dry and comfortable during high level sports performance and exercise."
The new home jersey will be on sale at the club shop in Sligo town and in the Showgrounds from Wednesday 10th February and will be worn when Sligo Rovers play Liverpool U-21's in the clubs second pre season friendly on the same date. The away and third kits will be on sale at a later date. The jerseys will cost €45 for an adult top and €35 for a kids top.
