McGreevy signs for Cobh Ramblers

Former Cork City and CIT player Eoin McGreevy signed for Cobh Ramblers today ahead of the 2016 First Division.

The 23 year old midfielder/attacker will give Stephen Henderson’s side some extra fire power ahead of the coming season as they aim to reach the playoffs.

Eoin originally started playing with Greenwood before progressing to the Cork City youth sides. The highlight of that section of his career was winning the U16 National Cup in Turners Cross defeating a Daryl Horgan lead Salthill Devon. Other players to have helped Greenwood win the cup that day included Cork senior hurler Damien Cahalane and Gillingham centre half John Egan.

With Cork City’s youth sides he won the FAI Youths Cup amongst other honours. He then progressed to their senior side in 2011 under Tommy Dunne making one substitute appearance away to Salthill Devon and making the bench on five occasions.

Since leaving City at the start of 2012, he has played for CIT where he caught the eye of Ramblers boss Stephen Henderson.
