Galway United

Tony Cousins must do without Alan Keane(knee) and Stephen O'Flynn(groin)for the third week running. They are joined this week on the injury list by striker Derek Glynn(ligament) and Daryl Robson(ankle) who both picked up knocks in training. Ciaran Foley may return having missed the opening two fixtures.

Finn Harps

Hegarty has a number of suspension and injury worries ahead of the visit of the Students. Shaun Holmes sits the game out as he is banned after accumulating eight penalty points last season. Gary Beckett (ligament) and Jonathan Minnock (Achilles) are still both on the treatment table although Beckett could feature in this game. Cornelius Gallagher and Marc Mukendi both returned to training this week, but the UCD game may have come a week or two too early for them.Declan Boyle is the most likely to get the nod to start the game as Hegarty shuffles his backline. Elsewhere, the team is likely to be unchanged.

Shamrock Rovers

Chris Mulhall is out with a cartilage injury, while long-term casualties Aidan Price and Padraig Amond remain sidelined. Tadhg Purcell returns after serving a one-match suspension. Dessie Baker and Danny O'Connor have been suffering from the vomiting bug and missed training earlier in the week but are hopeful that both will be available.

St Pats

Barry Ryan and Dessie Byrne are both suspended, Joseph Ndo continues to make steady progress from his injury and St Pat’s welcome back to the squad -Stephen Brennan from suspension and Gary Dempsey who has recovered from a bout of flu

Cork City

Danny Murphy is available once again having been suspended for Tuesday’s game, so Gareth Farrelly (knee) and Billy Woods (ankle) are likely to the only absentees.

Bray Wanderers

Paddy Kavanagh returns to the Bray squad having missed the defeat to U.C.D. last week as he served a one game ban following his sending off in Cork. After that it was bad news for Eddie Gormley as once again new signings Kevin Doherty and Derek Foran will miss a third game in a row following injuries picked up pre-season, and Andy Myler is added to the injury list with a groin strain.

Derry City

Kenny is in the middle of small injury crises with regards to his goalkeepers – Irish U-21 international Darren Quigley has been ruled out with a hand injury with off season signing from Total Network Solutions Gerard Doherty becoming his solution for tomorrow nights game.

Sligo Rovers

Gavin Peers was a doubt last week with a hamstring problem. He left the action against Drogheda seemingly complaining of the same problem however Sligo have reported an injury free squad ahead of the game. Steve Feeney has recovered from a groin strain - however it would be a surprise if he started. Alan Moore hasn’t featured much lately. He is fit but is lacking match sharpness.

Bohemians

Pat Fenlon will have to plan without a number of players. Just this week Kevin Hunt broke a bone in his foot during training. He now faces up to eight weeks on the sidelines. Neale Fenn is also ruled out for the second week in succession. Midfielder Glenn Cronin will also play no part. He damaged his hamstring in the Galway game. Killian Brennan is suspended on account of the red card he picked up against Pats. Conor Powell hasn't featured since Bohs last pre season friendly game against Shelbourne, however he has now resumed training and may well be ready for a return to action. Thomas Heary remains injured.

Wexford Youths

Wexford Youths FC are hoping to pick up their first points of the season at home to Kildare on Friday night and manager Mick Wallace has a fully fit squad to choose from.

Kildare County

Kildare have a bit of an injury list at the moment. Austin O’Neill and Stephen Cooling should be out for another couple of weeks, but John Ryan could be to call upon the services of Michael Roche, depending on a late fitness test. However defender Willie Tyrell will miss out on the game as he got a straight red card in his debut against Shelbourne.

Longford Town

Defender Andy Bermingham may return to the squad here having sat out last week’s draw in Waterford through injury; however, the midlanders will definitely be without centre-half Ronan Frawley, who now serves a suspension carried-over from last year.

Dundalk

Dundalk right-back John Flanagan must do likewise, while central defender Ben Whelehan (ankle) also misses out through injury. However, on a positive note, goalkeeper Chris Bennion and captain Aidan Lynch, who both missed the victory over Monaghan through one-match bans, will now re-enter John Gill’s plans.

Shelbourne

With an away league fixture in Monaghan tomorrow night (Friday 21st) followed on Monday afternoon by a League Cup fixture away to Sporting Fingal (up the road in Santry), it is likely that Manager Dermot Keely will make use of the major part of his 24 man squad over the two games.

Waterford United

Manager Gareth Cronin can welcome back club captain John Hayes after suspension though Willie John Kiely misses the game as a result of a carryover ban from last season.

Sporting Fingal

Sporting welcome back Brian Gannon and David Bracken from suspension while young strikers Karl Byrne and Daniel Corcoran are both struggling to shake off flu and may miss out. Paul Malone has returned to training but is not match-fit yet and will not feature over the weekend, as won’t Joe Clancy who is still a few weeks away from a resuming full training.

Athlone Town

Niall Scullion is suspended for this game after getting a red card against Fingal. Anthony Hayes also misses out due to suspension for an accumulation of points from last season. Davy Byrne has a late fitness test on a knee problem.

Monaghan United

United’s back four will be without dependable player of the year 2007 Kevin Williamson as he is suffering from a chest infection. Cooke will have a full squad to choose from other than that.
