Big games keep coming for Hoops
Last week's game against Sligo Rovers at Tallaght was a special night for the club, and after the scoreless draw in Bray on the opening day of the season, it was important to get their first win of the season behind them - especially seeing as next up for the Hoops is a trip to Dalymount for what is one of the league's biggest games of the season.
Rovers boss Michael O'Neill is well aware of how big the fixture is, but admits that the Sligo game was the only game on the agenda up until last Friday - "The derby was not something we focused on until we got Friday out of the way. But we had Bohemians watched last week and then again against Derry."
He continued - "It's been a decent start for us, thats all. We have got four points and I think we are going in the right direction. It will be an indication of much progress has been made".
Going into the Bohemians game, Rovers find themselves with an identical record to the Gypsies. Both sides have recorded one win and one draw, scoring and conceding the same amount of goals.
Nonetheless, O'Neill is under no illusions on just how good Pat Fenlon's side are - "We will be going up against the strongest team in the league, the Champions, and we are expecting a very difficult game, but its a game we are all looking forward to."
Bohemians v Shamrock Rovers kicks off at 7.35pm, this Friday, March 20th. Extratime.ie will be there to bring you match analysis and reaction
