Kelly to referee first Tallaght game

Alan Kelly will have the honour of being the first referee to officiate a League of Ireland game at Shamrock Rovers new Tallaght Stadium home. Last year, Kelly, son of Pat Kelly, manager of the referees’ department in the FAI, became the first Irish ref to represent Ireland in a major tournament in more than 25 years.

The game kicks off at 8pm on Friday and has been confirmed as a sellout.
