Hoops Tallaght opener a sellout

Shamrock Rovers have tonight confirmed that the opening game in their new Tallaght Stadium is a sellout, three days before the game is due to take place.

An unprecedented demand for season tickets - just under 2,000 were sold - left a very limited number of match tickets available, with demand far outstripping supply.

Hoops’ chairman Jonathan Roche announced: “Following a full reconciliation, the club can confirm that all 3,500 seats for the historic first match on Friday have been sold.

“It will, of course, be a major disappointment for those who will miss out of the experience that Friday night promises – but we were always bound by the limited capacity.”

Shamrock Rovers have also confirmed that season ticket sales will resume on Wednesday March 18th, and all details are available at www.shamrockrovers.ie, the official Shamrock Rovers’ website.

Extratime.ie will be covering all the action on the night.
