Dublin derby for defending cup holders

The draw for the Second Round of the 2015 Irish Daily Mail FAI Senior Cup took place on Wednesday evening in the Aviva Stadium. Former Irish international and fan favourite Paul McGrath, along with FAI President Tony Fitzgerald, drew the sides out in front of representatives from the participating clubs and assembled media.

Saint Patrick's Athletic begin the defence of the trophy they won for the first time in 53 years with a Dublin derby in Richmond Park against record cup winners Shamrock Rovers. It is one of only two all Premier Division ties; Bray Wanderers host Limerick in the other top tier tie.

2014 beaten finalists Derry City will face a trip to Offaly to play Leinster Senior League side Edenderry Town, while North End United have been rewarded for their victory in the first round over EA Sports Cup quarter finalists UCC with an away trip to Galway United.

Other notable pairings to emerge from today's draw sees SSE Airtricity League Champions and current league leaders Dundalk host Shelbourne FC in a tie between the clubs second and third in the all time winners table. Meanwhile Cockhill Celtic from Buncrana host St. Mochta’s in the only all non-league fixture.

The second round fixtures will take place the week ending 31st of May with times and dates to be confirmed in due course.
