O'Halloran returns to Cork City
Cork City have announced the return of midfielder Greg o'Halloran to Turners Cross.
The 28-year-old has penned a one year deal at the club after spending last season at Cobh Ramblers.
The Cork-native spent seven years at Cork between 1998 and 2005, before leaving to join Shelbourne. Since then the midfielder has also played for Derry City and Galway United.
O’Halloran told Cork City's official website: “I’m delighted to be back. I never thought I’d get the chance to play for Cork City again, so I’m thrilled and it is up to me now to get my head down and try to contribute to the squad, and hopefully win the league again. I was shocked to see how well Bishopstown is looking, the amount of work that has gone in there since I was last out there is fantastic and it shows the work that Tom Coughlan and everyone at the club is putting in. I think that the club is going in the right direction, and I’m delighted to have the chance to be a part of it.”
Speaking about O'Halloran's arrival, Cork City manager Paul Doolin said: "He is a versatile player and with our squad being a bit on the small side that will be very useful to us.”
In other news, Cork City defender Sean Kelly has signed for Galway United on loan until the summer transfer window.
