Bray sign Mulroy and Coughlan
Bray Wanderers have announced that they have secured the signatures of two of John Mulroy and Gareth Coughlan for the 2009 season.
John Mulroy, a striker, won the Schools Player of the Year Award at the F.A.I. Awards Night at City West last Sunday. He made his Senior debut for Bray when he came off the bench to score against Longford Town in July 2007 thus becoming the youngest player to score for Bray in a Senior competitive match at 17 years and 7 months.
Gareth Coughlan, a midfielder, made the breakthrough to the first team squad last season and made his debut coming on as a substitute against Finn Harps in June. He scored a sensational goal when he came on as a substitute against Shamrock Rovers at Tolka Park in October helping Bray come back from two goals down to earn a vital point.
Speaking after the signings Manager Eddie Gormley said "I am absolutely delighted that both John and Gareth have signed for us, both of whom have great futures in the game". He added "At Bray they will get all the help and encouragement they need".
