Manager John Ryan has added another name to his squad just ahead of the clubs opening game in this year’s campaign. Midfielder Kieran Harte (22), who is a native of Ramelton in Donegal spent last season at Shelbourne where he made a total of 26 league appearances. If Kieran makes his debut in tomorrow night’s game against the Reds it will be a case of history repeating itself as he made his Shels debut against County in a game which ended 2-2 almost exactly a year ago.

Harte played his schoolboy football with Swilly Rovers in Donegal and also player for the club at Intermediate level in the Ulster Senior League before going on scholarship to University College Dublin. He made nine appearances for the students before moving to Shels last season.

He won a Dr Tony O’Neill under 21 League medal with UCD in 2005 and had the honour of captaining the Irish University Football squad for the 2007 World University Games in Thailand last August.
