Monaghan pencil in Dundalk date
Monaghan United have announced that they hope to play local rivals Dundalk in a pre-season friendly at Kingspan Century Park on Friday 27 February, kick-off 8pm.
The game has been arranged between the two clubs for a number of weeks but no definite date had been confirmed. Monaghan have, however, now pencilled in the penultimate day of the month for the match.
Monaghan have no friendlies confirmed at this moment. Earlier today, their warm-up game against Bray Wanderers, scheduled for Wayside Celtic's ground, Goldenball, tomorrow afternoon, was cancelled due to bad weather.
Dundalk, meanwhile, kick-off their preparations for the new season next Tuesday when they make the trip north to Irish League side Lisburn Distillery, where former Mons and Lilywhites player Paul Smyth is currently training.
