Byrne joins Bray as Robson re-signs

Bray Wanderers have completed the signing of striker Paul Byrne, while midfielder Daryl Robson has agreed a contract renewal.

Byrne had been at UCD since 2004 until the middle of last year when he joined Sporting Fingal's promotion push in the First Division. The 22-year-old has quickly returned to top flight, however, after being snapped up by Eddie Gormley.

Another youngster who will be at the Carlisle Grounds this year is Daryl Robson. The 19-year-old has impressed since joining Bray from Galway United in July 2007, and the news that he will be staying on for at least another season will give fans a boost as the club has already lost a large chunk of the squad which helped the Seagulls to finish sixth in the league last season.
