Extratime.ie team cycling for Haiti

THE 2014 Cycle4Haiti is taking place on the May Bank Holiday weekend (3rd and 4th) with all funds raised going to the charity Soul of Haiti Foundation.

Since its establishment, the Foundation and its members have been working to create new businesses and a better future for the people of Haiti. Following the devastating earthquake on 12 January 2010 the challenge has become even greater. The Soul of Haiti Foundation is committed to leveraging entrepreneurial/business skills and an ability to organise to help the social and economic circumstances in Haiti.

For the second year, Extratime.ie will be entering to cycle from Dublin to Galway over the two days. You can choose to start from three other location – Carlow, Cork or Sligo and cycle to Athlone before heading onwards to Galway. It is not a race but a personal challenge if you have not done these kind of distances before.

On arrival in Athlone you will transported to your accommodation and then brought back to Buccanners RFC for a BBQ and a few well deserved refreshments.

On the Saturday night in Athlone there will be a few sociable drinks at the BBQ and maybe some dancing for anybody that does not have sore legs.  The next morning, the 5th May, one very big Peloton will leave for Galway city to arrive together for a great celebration!

If you would like participate you can find all the information at Cycle4Haiti.com and you can choose 'Extratime.ie' as you team name, which will be displayed on the jersey you receive. Note that jerseys go for printing on 21st March, so you only have THREE days in which to get team name printed, but you can register at any time.

Alternately if you would like to sponsor us for the event you can do so on our My Charity Donations page
