Chris Turner signs for Dundalk
Dundalk have confirmed the signing of former Sligo Rovers and Bohemians midfielder Chris Turner.
The Northern Irish U-21 international was unveiled at a press conference today by Dundalk manager Sean Connor, where he was joined by other recent signings Harpal Singh and Darren Mansaram. All three players played under Connor at both Sligo and Bohemians.
Turner has joined the Lillywhites after spending the past four months at Scottish First division side Partick Thistle. He was released by Partick at the beginning of January.
Dundalk are also said to be interested in signing Celtic reserve midfielder Simon Ferry. The 21-year-old is well thought of by the Glasgow club, however, a string of injuries over the past few seasons have hampered his bid to become a regular in Gordon Strachan's first team squad.
Meanwhile, Dundalk are also believed to be waiting on an answer to a contract offer from former Drogheda United striker Fahrudin Kudozovic, who is also wanted by Derry City. Former Bohemians defender Liam Burns continues to train with the club, though a deal is yet to be struck with the Belfast native.
