Hall's Long signs for Waterford

Extratime.ie can confirm that Waterford United manager Stephen Henderson has added another new player to his squad for the coming season.

Seamus Long has committed himself to the south-east club for the 2009 season.

Long signs from Munster Senior League (MSL) side Douglas Hall. The defender has been one of the MSL's outstanding players over the last two seasons.

Long scored the winning goal for the MSL side in the 2008 Michael Ward Inter League Final against the Leinster Senior League.

Waterford United have also announced that Declan Woodgate, Paul Carey and Kevin Burns have joined the first team squad. All three were involved with the U20s this season, along with Willie John Kiely, David Grincell and Gary Dunphy.

Extratime.ie can also confirm the Packie Holden is no longer involved with the Blues.
