Ireland v West Indies T20 showdown to be live streamed
Ireland’s bid to win their first ever series against a full time Cricketing nation will be streamed live on YouTube this evening. Tonight’s final T20 game and Sunday’s One day international, both in Sabina Park Jamaica will both be available to watch free of charge thanks to the ICC.
Following on from Wednesday’s six wicket win over the World Champions, there has been a global interest in the series as once again Irish Cricket is once again on the lips of everybody in World Cricket.
Thanks to the ICC Development Programme, A high quality camera production consisting of 5 cameras will be installed in Sabina Park to provide the action live. The link will go out live on the Cricket Ireland Website and their Youtube channel just before play starts.
Warren Deutrom, a Cricket Ireland executive was understandably delighted at the news: “This is fantastic news for cricket fans everywhere with a thrilling two matches coming up in Jamaica. We’re extremely grateful for the support of the ICC Development Programme who have made this initiative possible, and also to the West Indies Cricket Board for facilitating the coverage there in Sabina Park.
“We had record numbers of nearly 300,000 people via YouTube watch the Pakistan series from Dublin in May and I’ve no doubt there will be great interest again tonight on a what is a very big weekend for Irish sport.”
