Curran swaps Mervue for Bray Wanderers

Another day, another Bray signing. Bray Wanderers have now signed five players in a week, as they announced today that Gary Curran has joined the Wicklow club.

The midfielder has come from Mervue United, with whom he played twenty-three games in the First Division last year.  The 27 year old started his career off at Sligo Rovers, making his debut in 2004, but only made a handful of appearances before joining Longford Town in 2009.

Gary does have a lot of Premier Division experience though, having been an integral part of the Galway United side that played in the Premier Division after joining them in 2010. He played in over thirty league games for them before the club were wound-up in June 2011.

He went on to play for Finn Harps and Ballinamallard United in the Irish League after he was released by Galway before he joined Mervue last season.

The Bray squad has now reached fifteen with Gary Curran joining Shane Redmond, Shane O’Connor, Dave Webster, Jamie McGlynn, Niall Cooney, Adam Mitchell, Danny O’Connor, Dean Zambra, Adam Hanlon, David Cassidy, Graham Kelly, Ismahil Akinade, Jake Kelly and Shane O’Neill.
