Two of the mainstays of Bohemians double winning squad from last season have rejected new deals at the club, it has been confirmed.

Gypsies manager Pat Fenlon said he had offered new deals to midfielder Stephen O'Donnell and defender Liam Burns, but that the duo have chosen not to take them up. Burns is now expected to sign for his former boss Sean Connor at Dundalk, while Galwegian O'Donnell is training with English League Two outfit Gillingham.

O'Donnell, a former Arsenal trainee, was signed for Bohs midway through the 2007 season by former boss Sean Connor. Belfast-native Burns was also signed by Connor at the start of the same season and made over 50 appearances for the club. He was a stalwart at the heart of Bohs rearguard last season as the club romped to a league and cup double.

Fenlon is now expected to try and tie-up deals for former Drogheda United stars Brian Shelley and Stuart Byrne, both of whom have been training with the club recently. Former Shelbourne stars Richie Baker and Alan Cawley are also likely to train with the Dublin club in the coming days, although Fenlon admits he is in no position to offer either a contract until after the club meets tonight to discuss the playing budget for the 2009 season.

Fenlon is also keen to add another member of Drogheda's 2007 title winning squad - Paul Keegan - to his ranks, but it has been confirmed by London club Millwall that he will spend the week on trial with them.

Meanwhile, former Shamrock Rovers' striker Ger Rowe, who has also been training with Bohs over the past week, is reported to be weighing up offers from Sporting Fingal and St Patrick's Athletic.
