McDonnell and St Pat's part company

St Patrick's Athletic have today confirmed on the club's website that they are now on the lookout for a new manager following John McDonnell's departure from the role.
Discussions with CEO Richard Sadlier following the club's decision to revert to a part-time set-up for the upcoming campaign have led to McDonnell leaving the club.
Following on from the departure of star player Keith Fahey to Birmingham City and the cost-cutting measures taken to date, the European exploits of last season when the club came so close to qualifying for the group stages of the UEFA Cup look ever less likely to be repeated in the near future.
