Kalonas On Trial

After recent reports linking Bohemians Mindaugas Kalonas - Lithuanian International, spot kick FAI Cup Final winner and generally class player - to the English Premier League’s West Bromich Albion, manager Tony Mowbray has confirmed he wants to give the playmaker a trial at the club.
“These things go on in the background at football clubs where scouts go out, identify players, reports come onto my desk and say 'yes' or 'no'," said Mowbray, speaking to his clubs official website, www.wba.premiumtv.co.uk.
"I've never seen him but I think he's got a good enough pedigree. As and when he comes over, he might survive one day, two days, or a week.
"I might think he's great and we'll sign him. Robert Koren came on a trial basis and we signed him. But the kid's not here yet so I don't know any more about him,” added the Baggies boss, a little less enthused than perhaps most people would like. Ah well.
