Rundle and Behan quit Cork
A topsy turvy season for Cork City has taken a twist today with the news that striker Denis Behan and Adam Rundle have had their contracts cancelled by mutual consent.
Speaking about the decision manager Tommy Dunne had this to say, "First and foremost I'd like to thank Denis and Adam for their professionalism and their effort in the work that they've done here over the course of the season so far.”
In recent weeks Cork have sought to boost their firepower up front by adding Shamrock Rovers striker Ciaran Kilduff to their ranks – on loan - the two players as a result have fallen down the pecking order.
“Things haven't worked out quite as we would have liked for the two lads, but they have both been absolute gentlemen to deal with and a credit to themselves, and I would like to wish them all the very best for the future.”
Cork City travel to take on Limerick FC this Friday in Thomond Park at 7.45 pm.
