Waterford United sign attacking duo
Waterford United have added two players as they continue their promotion chase.
Conor Meade joins the club from Cobh Ramblers, while Marco Chindea joins from St Patrick's Athletic.
Striker Meade signed off as a Ramblers player at the weekend with a brace and joins the club as second top scorer in the league.
The 28-year-old confirmed on Monday evening that he had agreed to join the club and the club confirmed shortly afterwards that the attacker will boost the Blues striking options. He joins a club who have won their last four league games and closed the gap to leaders Longford Town to just six points.
19-year-old Marco Chindea joins the club after starred in St Pat's' U19 side last season. The exciting attacking player graduated to the Saints senior squad, making his debut as a late sub in the EA Sports Cup win at Salthill Devon. Chindea impressed recently when given a start against Longford Town in the Leinster Senior Cup a month ago.
Both players have signed until the end of the season and join Philip Drohan, Patrick Fitzgerald and Paddy Barrett as new additions to the Blues squad.
