Longford Town vs Wexford Youths
The battle from 7th place in the eircom League arrives at Flancare Park on Saturday night as Wexford Youths look to leapfrog Longford Town and improve on their 9th place finish in the league in 2007. (Kick-off 19:30).
Wexford Youths welcome back Conor Sinnott, Paul Malone and Pa Doyle for the game.
Wexford will be without Kyle Dempsey however, who has been ruled out through injury and joins fellow strikers Danny Furlong and Paul Murphy on the sidelines for the remainder of this campaign.
"We need a win as our form has dipped lately and Longford are only a point ahead of us so it's an opportunity to overtake them," Wexford manager Mick Wallace said. "We never like playing a team that has been heavily defeated in their previous game like Longford were against Monaghan, as they usually come out with something to prove and are wounded."
Longford will be reeling from last week’s hammering by Monaghan, and finish the season with a win in front of their home crowd. Team news was unavailable at the writing of this preview.
Extratime.ie Prediction: Longford to share the spoils with Wexford, 1-1.
