Bohemians have announced via their official website that the contract of central defender Stephen Paisley has been terminated by mutual consent due to the players work commitments outside football.

Paisley was considered an important signing for the Phibsboro club filling a gap left when Evan McMillan moved on to Sligo Rovers over the winter. Genuine experience is at a premium at Dalymount Park and Paisley offered that in spades having played for Longford Town, St Patrick’s Athletic, Sporting Fingal and Shelbourne since he began his LoI carer in 2003.

Paisley’s Bohemians debut came as a half time substitute in the 3-0 defeat to Sligo Rovers at Dalymount Park on 29th March and he made just four league appearances in 2013.
