Airtricity Premier Division Betting - Gameweek 10

Hark now hear ladies and gents! 4 out of 6 last week - anyone following my lead would have made some serious cash! If you did, feel free to send me a 12.5% cut - contact me on Twitter - we'll sort something out. I particularly enjoyed the 3/1 tip on Axel "The Boss" Bossekota romping home with two goals at Bray. More of that kind of craic, you say!? Sounds good.

Dundalk V Cork City

I like Stephen Kenny. His nose is very much like Sir Alex Ferguson's - a strange kind of purple hue that is obviously the mark of good management. I'll tell you what else I like, this Dundalk team, particularly in midfield. Stephen O'Donnell and Keith Ward bossed Bohs around Dalymount last week, with Tiernan Mulvenna looking very sharp up top. While the RTÉ cameras coming to Oriel might convince many people to opt for an eye-gougingly bad 0-0 draw, I don't think so. Cork haven't yet won away from home, and I think better than evens on the home win is a great price.
Betting: Dundalk at 5/4

Bohemians V Bray Wanderers

When good, promising players get injured, their stock always rises while they are out. Take Jack Wilshere at Arsenal. - a promising player, but give him a year out of a struggling side, and suddenly he becomes some kind of Christ-like Jesus-Baby Saviour before he's even returned to full fitness. Now, take Chris Lyons. After over a month out following a hatchet job by Shamrock Rovers Derek Foran, Bohs fans had started to believe that Lyons is the answer to their current woes (4 losses out of five, no goals at home since opening day). He came on at half time in the aforementioned game V Dundalk - and offered *gasp* some attacking threat for Bohs. What's that you say? Attacking threat!? Should go down well against a Bray side that have lost their last two games, scoring none and shipping 11.
Betting: Chris Lyons to score first at 11/2 or anytime if you fancy at 9/5

St. Patrick's Athletic V Derry City

Ooooh. Tasty one this. Two very in-form teams - including the Pats team that finally beat the Sligo beast last time out. I just love seeing Killian Brennan dink penalties. I love how the keeper tries to scramble around like a flopping fish-man after he realises he's been dinked. Derry have been quite excellent this season. With the result so tough to call, I like to search for hidden gems - and I think I've found one here. The game should be cagey - so how about the first goal to be after the 31st minute?
Betting: Time of first goal - after 31st minute at evens

UCD V Shamrock Rovers

I saw a great Facebook post after Shamrock Rovers Setanta semi-final away goals escape against Cork during the week: "Pfft, Rovers - even when they win they draw". Their famous and ridiculous KOH tag has been wittily changed by many (well, me) to KOD - Keep on Drawing. I never understood what 'Keep On Hooping' meant anyway. Will they draw this week? No, definitely not.
Betting: Shamrock Rovers - 1 at 11/10

Limerick V Shelbourne

Fair play to Axel "The Boss" Bossekota. He turned what had been a half decent betting week to a decent one with his brace against Bray. The French-born winger has been one of the standout players in the league so far this season. This week he comes up against the increasingly hollow-eyed figure of Alan Mathews and his struggling Shelbourne. However, after their morale-boosting late equaliser down in Cork last week, I fancy Shels to get something here. The double chance looks edible at 7/4

Betting: Double chance - Shelbourne and Draw at 7/4

Sligo Rovers V Drogheda United

I just realised I'm at the final match and I still haven't mentioned Liam Buckley's hair. Well... I'm not having it - simple as! The Sligo/Elding juggernaut was finally stopped by Buckley and Pats last week. Will they bounce back this week against the Drogs? You bet your sweet bippy they will.

Betting: Half time/ Full time - Sligo / Sligo at 13/10

KF's Tricky Treble: Dundalk, Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers -1... works out at better than 8/1. Lump.
