Peamount United return to action for the first time in two weeks when they host DLR Waves at Greenogue – the Dun Laoghaire outfit being one of just two sides to beat the leaders this season.

The Peas have a full squad. “We’re looking forward to getting back into competitive action. There is no room for slip-ups now and every point is crucial. We know DLR are well organised and have a good work rate so we’re aware of their strengths,” said Eileen Gleeson.

DLR Waves boss Larry Mahony has a number of injury concerns. He said: “We have a couple of injuries with Sharon Cullen, Avril Kilkelly and Vicky Reynolds all major doubts. Sylvia Gee is also suspended.

“We’ll still have a go. We’re down to the bare bones at the moment so we’ll be using girls around 16-17. It’ll be a learning curve for them. We’ve said it every week that our win over them was the top of our form and we do feel that’s the level we have to get to again.”
