Cork Women's FC -v- Castlebar Celtic

Cork Women’s FC beat Shamrock Rovers and DLR Waves in their last two games but have not played a match since March 3 due to a variety of reasons so they will be looking to get the show back on the road when they welcome in-form Castlebar Celtic to Turner’s Cross.

“After we beat Rovers and DLR we then had five weeks off so any form we had would be badly impacted - for Castlebar the opposite is the case,” said Cork’s Chris O’Mahoney.

“We have a few attacking problems with injuries and international duty so Lynsey McKey, who has scored a few goals, will have a lot of pressure on her shoulders.”

Cork’s Amy O’Connor is away on international duty while Clare Shine (concussion) and Denise O’Sullivan (back) are out through injury. Celtic keeper Ashling Concannon (quad) is a doubt while Sarah Rowe and Emma Hansberry return from international duty.

“We’re happy with our recent results and want to keep picking up as many points as we can between now and the end of the season to finish it on a high,” said Castlebar coach John Morris-Burke
