The former Dundalk midfielder has signed a short-term deal with the League One club.

The 27-year-old joins the Robins until the end of the season following his departure from Oriel Park. He became the eighth signing for the club of the January window.

Sloggett enjoyed a successful spell in the League of Ireland winning a FAI Cup in 2020 and playing in the Europa League group stages.

The midfielder began his career with UCD where he spent five years, before he went North to play a season with Derry City.

Speaking to the Cheltenham media team, he stated his delight to sign for the club.

"It's been a funny old month trying to find the right club over here but I'm delighted to here at Cheltenham Town.

"As a midfielder I'll bring a bit of everything. I'm a box-to-box and I'll be a hard worker at the very minimum."

Cheltenham Town are currently 22nd in League One, and face Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.

In other news, Troy Parrott was on the scoresheet once again in the Eredivisie.
