LSL Senior Sunday round-up: Lucan United move into top spot after win over Liffey Wanderers

Lucan United striker Jamie Doyle netted a hat-trick to propel his side to the top of the table.

The former Shelbourne, UCD, Bohemians and Longford Town forward has impressed for Lucan this term - and he has now scored seven goals for Keith Baker’s men.

Gary Seery was also on target for United with Sean McLean’s penalty proving to be nothing more than a scant consolation for Liffeys.

And that defeat for Wanderers means they have slipped back to the bottom of the table.

Home Farm were the side to pounce on Liffeys heavy loss with a draw against Crumlin United - and move away from the foot of the table.

James Lee’s Crumlin took the lead through former Bray Wanderers and Drogheda United midfielder Eoin McPhillips.

But Shane Lyons was on hand to salvage a point for John Hand’s men as they snapped an unwanted two-game losing streak.

The Whitehall side are now just a point behind 12th-placed Maynooth University Town.

Kilbarrack United and St Francis also played out a 1-1 draw.

Jack Kelly netted for Kilbarrack but Ryan O’Callaghan was on hand to secure a point for West Dubliners Francis.

Elsewhere, Bangor Celtic and Tolka Rovers could not be seperated during a 1-1 stalemate.

Dylan Reilly netted for John Scott’s charges at the Transport Club while former Shelbourne attacker Glen McAuley levelled for Tolka.
