Huddersfield Town have announced the signing of Radinio Balker, a 25-year-old Dutch centre back, from FC Groningen.

Balker, who has made over 100 appearances in Dutch football's top two divisions, is set to wear the number 24 shirt for Huddersfield.

Manager Darren Moore expressed his enthusiasm about working with Balker:

“I’m really excited to work with Radinio... He’s got some fantastic attributes for a modern-day defender; he’s very quick and athletic... He’s also a potent threat at attacking set pieces.”

Sporting Director Mark Cartwright shared insights into the recruitment process.

“We’ve watched Radinio for some time and a lot of work has gone into making this move happen. There was considerable competition for his signature... In a challenging time for his team last season, he showed that he could compete in the Eredivisie against some elite strikers.”

Balker, standing at 6’3 tall, had an impressive tenure with Groningen, including 31 starts in the Eredivisie last season.

Cartwright also highlighted Balker's potential for further development.

“At just 25 years old, we believe there is still more development in his game... he’s a fantastic character and is determined to keep improving.”
