Sevilla FC has secured a loan deal for Manchester United's 20-year-old midfielder Hannibal Mejbr until the end of the season, with an option to buy.

The French-born Tunisian international, who has had a diverse journey through European football, will now continue his career in La Liga.

Hannibal's football journey began at Paris FC's academy, leading him through AC Boulogne-Billancour and AS Monaco's academy before signing with Manchester United in 2019.

During his time at United, he featured in both the under-18 and under-23 sides, and in the Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy, scoring five goals and delivering ten assists.

His performances earned him a first-team debut in the 2020/21 season's final game against Wolverhampton Wanderers under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The following season, under Ralf Ragnick, Hannibal made two Premier League appearances and played eleven games for the reserves, contributing one goal and four assists.

In the 2021/22 season, he was loaned to Birmingham City in the Championship, where he played 41 games, scoring once and assisting six times.

Internationally, Hannibal represented France at the under-16 and under-17 levels before switching to the Tunisian national team in 2021, his parents' native country.

He played in the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup, where Tunisia finished as runners-up, and participated in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

After returning to Manchester United, Hannibal made an impression in the pre-season and scored in his first senior appearance under Erik ten Hag. He has since made nine more first-team appearances across various competitions.

At Sevilla, he will join former Manchester United player Adnan Januzaj.
