LSL Senior Sunday round-up: St Mochta’s claim late draw against Crumlin United as St Francis see off Bangor Celtic

St Mochta’s broke Crumlin United hearts with a last-gasp leveller to claim a point on Wednesday night at Porterstown Road.

Brian McCarthy’s side trailed twice in the game with former Wexford player Daniel Dobbin scoring twice for Crumlin.

But James Lee’s men were pegged back twice thanks to goals from Mikey Scott initially and then Karl Somers.

And it was Somers’ late hit that salvaged a point after Crumlin failed to clear a ball sent into the box.

The draw keeps Mochta’s in second-place but they are now a point behind leaders Lucan United having played two games more than their title rivals.

But St Francis might have them looking over their shoulder very soon as the John Hyland Park side claimed their fourth win in five games.

The West Dubliners recorded a deserved 3-0 victory over Bangor Celtic to move within five points of Lucan at the top.

Sean McManus netted his third and fourth goal of the season to seal the deal, with Stephen Dunne also getting in on the act.

Meanwhile, Maynooth University Town and LIffey Wanderers played out an entertaining 2-2 draw last week.

David Blake and John Tracey both scored for the Town.

But they were unable to hold on for a win as Caleb Gyasi and Sean Uduehi both scored for the visitors.
