Lucan United romped to a convincing 3-1 victory over Crumlin United to return to the top of the Leinster Senior League top-flight.

With four wins in their last five, Lucan raced into a 3-0 advantage with goals from Marco Chindea and Dylan Clausen.

In fact, Chindea netted two after Crumlin were reduced to ten-men.

But Crumlin stayed in the game as best they could and eventually scored a consolation through Jack Funge.

The results leaves Lucan top of the pile on 19 points, while James Lee’s Crumlin sit in 11th on 8 points.

Meanwhile, Wayside Celtic came from two goals behind to defeat Bangor Celtic.

John Scott’s side went 2-0 thanks to goals from MIkey McCoy and Dylan Reilly.

But Wayside - desperate to end their four-game losing streak - fought back before winning.

Tom O’Hanlon, Darragh O’Connor and former Longford Town striker Cian Fay all scored for Ross Zambra’s men to end their bad run of results.

They are now fourth in the table on 13 points, while Bangor Celtic stay in eighth place on 9 points. However, they have played three games less than Wayside.
