BOHEMIANS

It’s North vs South as Bohemians host DLR Waves at Dalymount Park in the Women's Premier Division on Wednesday night (kick-off 7.45pm).

Bohemians come into Wednesday evening off the back of a home defeat to Peamount United on Saturday and they will be looking to return to winning ways when Graham Kelly’s side visit.

A Karen Duggan penalty and a Kate Mooney goal were enough to give Peas the win and leave Bohs six points off the top of the table.

It’s been a mixed campaign so far for the Gypsies with two wins and two losses, they have only scored two goals, one against Treaty United and the other against Galway United int their victories over both.

They have yet to win a match at home this season which is another thing they will be looking to change on Wednesday.

DLR WAVES

Waves come into this midweek fixture after securing a good result against Athlone Town on Saturday.

The side played out a scoreless draw, but given the Town’s impressive performance last season and their win in this year’s President's Cup, Graham Kelly’s side will be happy with that result.

It’s been a bit of a mixed season so far for Waves with a win, a draw and a loss. Their win was a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Cork City and their loss was a narrow 1-0 loss to Peamount – who are currently top of the table having won all their games.

It will be little comfort to DLR but a narrow loss to such strong opposition, and on their first game of the season, given the strong results they’ve had since can be somewhat forgiven.

They can prove their ability on Wednesday if they can get a good result in Dalymount Park.

MATCH STATS

Bohs are unbeaten in their last three games against DLR Waves with two draws and a win all coming last season.

Waves haven’t won in Dalymount Park since their August 2021 meeting with Bohs in the FAI Cup when they ran out 3-0 winners.

Sarah Rowe has been one of the big stories this season with her return to the Women’s Premier Division with Bohs. She scored against Galway United over a week ago which was her first goal in the league since the 2016 season when she played for Shelbourne.
