Brian’s Biography
Brian joined Limerick in June 2008, becoming part of Limerick FC's First Division squad in 2009. He was also at Jackman Park for 2010 but was released in June of that year having made 6 league appearances for the club..
Having left Limerick, Brian spent a year with Fairview Rangers before signing for Mike Kerley at Athlone Town in July 2011. He made his debut for Athlone in a 2-0 home win against Wexford Youths on 1st July but made only 3 appearances for the club before a shoulder injury ruled him out for the remainder of the season.
In January 2012, Brian informed Athlone manager Mike Kerley that he would not be signing for the midlands club that year due to work commitments. But due to a shortage of goalkeepers at the club he was persuaded to stay on and took his place between the sticks for the league opener against SD Galway at Lisseywoollen. That would be Brian's only league appearance of the season, though he sat, unused, on the bench a further twelve times.
