Muireann’s Biography
Muireann played with Sligo Rovers WU17 squad in 2019, and in December 2020 she signed for Athlone Town.
She made her Athlone debut against Shelbourne at Lisseywoolen on 27 March 2021 and made 20 appearances that year, scoring once, against Galway WFC in May. Muireann followed that up with five goals in 27 league and cup appearances in 2022, including a cup final defeat to Shelbourne.
In 2023 Muireann tucked another 27 appearances under her belt along with another Cup final appearance, also against Shelbourne, which Athlone won on a penalty shootout.
It would be Muireann's final game for the club before leaving at the end of the 2023 season and joining Sligo Rovers in January 2024.
