John’s Biography
John played underage football for Belvedere before going to England in 2009 where he signed for Blackburn Rovers. After fur years in the academy there he graduated to the first team squad in 2013 and made his senior debut against Birmingham City on 4 May 2013.
John made just 6 league appearances for Blackburn but played lots of football during loan spells at Southport, Accrington Stanley (twice), Barnsley, Rochdale and Bury.
In January 2017 he left Blackburn and soon afterwards signed for Carlisle United when he spent eighteen months, leaving in the Summer of 2018 when he signed for Blackpool on a one year deal. The following January, however, he went on loan at Dundee where he stayed until the end of the 2018/19 season.
With his contract up at Blackpool John joined Morecambe in the Summer of 2019 and he spent two seasons with them before joining Accrington Stanley in June 2021. He signed a three year deal at the club but left after just one in the Summer of 2022 to return to Ireland where he signed for Bohemians.
