COBH RAMBLERS
Struggling Cobh Ramblers will be looking to return to winning ways on Friday night when they host Finn Harps at St Colman’s Park (kick-off is at 7.45pm).
Ramblers are winless in their last six and have won just once this season - against Finn Harps.
But last weekend’s 4-2 loss at home to Wexford was a kick in the teeth for boss Gary Hunt.
“We have to look at ourselves as a staff and as a group of players. We have to look at ourselves as a team this week,” Hunt told the Cork Echo.
“Especially at home, we cannot concede that many goals at home and expect to try and get something out of a game. We need to work hard and we need to work harder than we have worked all season this week.
“We need to work on fixing that. That has to come from us and it has to come from the players. If people don’t want to do that, they are on the wrong team.”
FINN HARPS
Seeking a return to winning ways, Finn Harps travel to Cobh Ramblers after slumping to a 1-0 loss against Athlone Town last weekend.
The Co Donegal side however still remain in second place following their loss and will be confident that they can turn the tide in their favour once again.
“The players have raised expectations. The big thing now is how they react to that performance. It'll be interesting to see how they go to Cobh and respond,” Murphy told Donegal Live.
“The First Division is very competitive. There is a hair's breadth between all of the teams and I think it'll stay like that.
“ Every week, there are ups and downs. Last year, we had runaway trains in Galway and Waterford, but we don't have that this year. We have a very competitive League and every team has the capabilities of taking points off each other.”
Referee: Aaron O’Dowd.
